About Me
Written by Liberty -
I'm part of the the 40% of women ages 14 to 44 who want to leave the US and live abroad permanently. Help me convince my husband?

Liberty is a painter, and a plant-obsessed woman. She is always right, almost every time. She is a world traveler - and has lived on 4 continents and traveled to more than 30 countries. She works around the globe for Partners In Health, helping to strengthen national health systems in places like Rwanda and Peru. She’s gracious, intelligent, beautiful, and has an uncanny ability to reframe challenging situations - it's very impressive. She is extremely efficient, quick on her feet, and is always thinking three steps ahead. She makes those around her feel heard and cared for. She’s really good at a few board games and if she’s played something more than 3 times she usually wins. She’s dyslexic, which allows her to see the world in 3D, but makes for pretty funny misreads and misspells. We share a love of burritos and traveling and working for others, but we’re opposites in lots of ways. She’s an introvert and helps me to calm and to be quiet, and sometimes I drag her out to share how wonderful she is at events at the schools or even to a dance party every once in a while. Our opposites are great because we balance each other and make each other better. She is my best friend, and she loves me for all my weirdness, and she loves my neurotic dog too (he may love her more than me now!). I don’t quite know how I got lucky enough to catch her, but I know enough not to let her go. You all are gonna like her a lot, she’s the best.

About Me
Written by Jeremy:
I love learning about how people connect with each other and how communities work. I have done a lot of travelling in the US over my lifetime, but I am excited to jump into travelling and living abroad.

Jeremy is a musician, a dog dad, and an extrovert. His talents are put to good use in supporting this community he calls home. He seeks a communal spirit of effervescence at all times, bringing new friends and old together for karaoke, hikes, volunteer days, school events, and birthday dance parties. He is what you might call, a social butterfly - he easily becomes friends with and chats up taxi drivers and strangers on the trail. What’s really amazing is that he is not only quick to make new friends, but he stays in impressively good touch with all his old friends. He’s lived in Moab, Missoula, Boston, the Tetons, Portland, Eugene, and Corvallis and has managed to keep in touch with friends from every stage of life through random phone calls and periodic check-ins. Those life stages included two Americore stints, directing and assistant directing two not-for-profits (an after-school program and a senior center), and obtaining a master's in public administration. He recently quit his job to travel with me and I'm so honored. He had been working for the Grand County School District under the superintendent as the Community Engagement Coordinator connecting school kids and their families to community resources. He’s the lead singer in a local band called Ancient States (check them out on Spotify) and loves to join me on spontaneous adventures. He’s also really good at word games - best of luck to you if you ever take him on in scattegories. He makes me feel loved, seen, and heard in a way that has been rare in my life and I’m so grateful for the sense of safety he brings to me. You’re all going to love him.
